I’ve really enjoyed this class. I was absent for most, but when working two jobs, plus going to school, and trying to keep up with all the homework. It’s hard. I tried my best. I may not know much about marketing but I know A LOT about the music industry, that’s my major, that’s my main focus. I also know a lot about social media. I’m constantly on it. I could give you a whole list of things I know about YouTube. Some that you probably don’t even know. YouTube is an entrepreneurs DREAM! It’s like entertainment, social media, and marketing all mixed into one. So many opportunities have come out of YouTube. JUSTIN BIEBER was even found on that site. Just goes to show never underestimate people. You never know what they could be capable of.

just found this in my searching. Thought it was relevant. And pretty much what I would say.

I found this picture on my other Tumblr and found it to be hilariously accurate.

So, I’m apart of this thing called the Puzzle Piece Project…and we successfully gave Taylor her first Puzzle on the Fearless tour in 2010. We’ve made 2 puzzles since then including the one for the Red tour. Each have been different and contain messages. They are all hand crafted and it’s one of the most unique gifts Taylor has received! SHE EVEN HAS IT HANGING IN HER HOUSE! I got to see it myself! Here is one of numerous interviews of Taylor talking about the puzzle.

New York City Vlog//Red Release Week

I won a competition last October to fly to NYC for Taylor’s RED release week. It was one of the best weeks of my life! From Taylor remembering me! To literally staying awake for 38 hours straight. To seeing NYC for the first time. One of the best times of my life! And totally worth having to take a midterm early to go!

Parachute//Birmingham//April 25, 2013

So last Thursday I saw one of my all time bands ever! I’ve been listening to Parachute since…April 2010. I’ve seen them live once before, but nothing compares to this time! I had been thinking this whole time that Parachute was opening up for Andy Grammer, but for some reason I guess he cancelled or something happened. Anyways, so at about noon on Thursday afternoon Parachute tweeted this:

I immediately freaked out because I knew I might get to hear some of my favorite songs! I hurriedly tweeted them back with what I wanted to hear. During that time, someone else had tweeted that they wanted to hear “Square One.” Now “Square One” is an unreleased song and WIll said he would never play it live. Parachute replied back with this:

I was even more excited then!

When we got to the venue around 5:00, there was already a line to get in the door, maybe 15 people. We knew we would still be second row. I heard them sound checking “Back Again” and “American Secrets,” which is one of the songs I requested and I got even more excited. They played 19 songs that night. Two hours worth of my favorite band. The set list included, American Secrets, You and Me, Square One, Drive You Home, and Forever and Always. ALL songs I had requested.

Here is a video of Square One:

The encore song was Something To Believe In, and Will came straight for me and grabbed my hand and held it! He has seen me singing to every song that night, including the unreleased songs and new songs that would be on the new record.

After the show, my best friend and I went out by the buses to wait for the band to come out and sign. While we were there, I found one of my friend’s I had met at the Nashville show! We geeked out about the show! And caught up. Then Nate walks out. I told him how incredible the show was, and asked him if Hurricane was on the album. I also told him I had seen him on tour last year with The Cab, he thanked me for buying the old album, and for coming to the show. Then we took our funny picture, since I had already met him before.

About 15 minutes later out walks Will with Brandi Cyrus, Miley’s sister! I didn’t even notice Will until my best friend Heather told me. I was too worried about getting a picture with a Cyrus. She agreed but said real quick. Typical Cyrus. I then waited my turn to talk to Will. When he got to me, he said “IT’S NICE TO SEE YOU AGAIN!” And I said, “you remember me?” “yeah!” “From Nashville?” “YEAH!” I was fangirling on the inside! I asked him for a picture! And said “Can we be cats?” He agreed. Here is our picture.

He thanked me for coming. And then we left. On the way home, we stopped by McDonald’s to get sweet tea and Burger King to get chicken nuggets. I’m almost positive the cashier thought we were on drugs, because we were SO happy! Concert highs are the best highs.
